Polish guest design Michał Szulc digs into aesthetic memories of the 1960s in his home country Poland and pulls out a fresh collection for Spring/Summer 2015 at ModaLisboa LEGACY. He draws inspiration from a “mood board” filled with iconic images of Polish design, such as crystal vases, deer and rugs. His silhouettes balance between skinny and extra-large, with coats and jackets being a mix of proportions. Cotton twills, voiles, denims and leather make up the collection in colors of pure white, oxblood, pumpkin, rose, beige teal, powder blue.
Michał szulc is a warsaw based fashion designer. He started his own label in 2005 with 'iapan' collection.
Szulc is a minimalist who appreciates functionality and construction in the garments he creates.
After attending the academy of fine arts in lodz and completing with honours his masters degree in fashion design, showing a diploma collection, michal decided to continue creating fashion under his own name. Twice during his studies, michal received a scholarship from the minister of culture and national heritage.
