US CDC joins health professionals at Havana meeting

Representatives from the US Center for Disease Control joined health care officials from 31 other countries in Havana, Cuba at a conference sponsored by the ALBA, Latin America's regional integration block. The meeting seeks to coordinate a regional strategy of prevention and control of Ebola. Cuba has trained 461 doctors and nurses in dealing with the disease, half of whom have already gone to Guinea, Sierra Leone, and Liberia for a six-month mission. teleSUR
