ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION).

STORY: At least five people were injured when a massive fire broke out in a firecracker market, gutting more than 150 shops in India's northern city of Faridabad on Tuesday (October 21).

At least 10 vehicles were burnt in the inferno on the eve of the Hindu festival of lights, Diwali, eyewitnesses said. The cause of the fire is not yet known.

Loud explosions were heard for about 15 minutes on the ground, where the annual firecracker market is organized.

Illegal firecracker factories are operating in various parts of India.

Earlier this month, 15 people died and seven others were severely injured after an explosion in an illegal firecracker factory in the southern state of Andhra Pradesh.
