Luis Enrique's goals against Real Madrid

Luis Enrique was involved in some unforgettable matches against Real Madrid. In a total of fourteen Liga meetings, he experienced 6 victories, 4 draws and 4 defeats, scoring five goals in the process. Three were headers, one was a shot from outside the area and the other was an opportunistic finish, which all goes to show what a great all-rounder Luis Enrique was in his playing days. He was especially renowned for his passionate goal celebrations, which went into overdrive when playing in ‘hostile territory’. His first game for Barça at the Bernabéu was the 2-0 defeat on December 7, 1996. His last was on May 25, 2004, when Frank Rijkaard led the Catalans to 2-1 victory thanks to goals from Kluivert and Xavi. Luis Enrique came on for the last 34 minutes of a spectacular comeback.
