Patrizia Pepe is launching the new “ESCAPE COUTURE” Capsule Collection, a triumph of colours and shapes with a Sixties touch. From the moment the very
first sketches were drawn we had this slightly mad wish - creating a remake inspired by the multiple award-winning film Thelma & Louise, the symbol of friendship and complicity among women, in full Patrizia Pepe style!
With its vivid colours and captivating patterns, the Capsule Collection merges with clothes and accessories from the 2014 Autumn/Winter Collection. The
severe style includes tailored coats, high-waist trousers and bon ton shirts mixed with circle skirts, multi-coloured details and patterns that tone down the clean, sophisticated lines. The final touch is given by the seasonal, must-have accessories, such as the leather back-pack and the "bowie" ankle boot.
Two friends - two young women, two wild, restless souls - are interpreting our #Escapecouture project.
The web influencer Chiara Biasi and the model Ana Moya Calzado are modern version of Thelma & Louise, who leave their holidays behind without looking back. They smile as memories come back to them and when they think about what lies ahead of them. Chiara and Ana are friends in real life and have just finished a hippie chic holiday in Formentera, amusing themselves playing pranks and taking selfies. Thelma and Louise were the first to take a selfie - in the famous film they take a photograph of themselves before fleeing, in what can be defined as the first true on-screen selfie.
Selfies are images people use to say things about themselves without involving anyone else. Because the "selfie" style is so widely and frequently used, Patrizia Pepe has decided it should be the main theme of the FW14 Advertising Campaign, #selfie24.
The two web influencers will play the starring role in the pictures taken by Senio
Zapruder, a young director and photographer from Tuscany. The girls will leave the shooting of the photographs (by the sea) and head for the city in a Cadillac Cabrio.
