An elderly woman who went missing from her Los Angeles, California home, was found four years later living in a rundown, filthy cabin in coastal Maine.

Three individuals were charged with the felony of endangering the welfare of a dependent in connection to her relocation.

Court records show they pleaded no contest and were placed on probation.

The trio first met the woman, Sarah Cheiker, when she was still living in her California bungalow.

It’s said they befriended her and invited her to live with them when the house sustained damage from a fire.

Shortly after, a longtime neighbor of Cheiker’s saw her belongings being loaded into a storage bin.

Days later his wife learned that the house had been sold. Reportedly, it went for over 700 thousand dollars.

By the time the matter reached the courts it appeared that there was 7 thousand dollars left, as the three who moved Cheiker bought properties along the way to Maine.

That money was given to the elderly woman as restitution.

Cheiker has since been transferred to an assisted living facility in Maine and is reportedly quite angry about the selling of her home.
