Missiles from battle between ISIL and Syrian Kurds hit Turkish house

A house in a Turkish village has been hit by missiles from fighting just across the border in Syria.

At least five people are reported to have been wounded.

The fighting in Syria is between Kurdish forces and ISIL militants attempting to take control of the town of Kobani.

ISIL is being hit by US-led airstrikes, but is still reported to be advancing on the town, where thousands have fled over the border into Turkey.

So far Turkey has not intervened in the battle against ISIL, despite calls for it to do so.

The number of Syrian refugees fleeing the fighting and pouring over the border is now said to be as high as 180,000.
