Elaan is a 1947 film directed by Mehboob Khan starring Mohammad Afzal, Surendra, Leela Mishra, Munawar Sultana and Zebunissa in lead roles.
After the passing away of his dad, Javed (Surendra) and his mother ( Leela Mishra) started living with his mother's sister, Mrs Haque (Zebunissa). Mrs. Haque leads a luxurious life with her husband and son, Sajjad (Mohammad Afzal). Mrs. Haque is very cruel toward her sister, compelling her to leave and bring up Javed on her own. Years later, Javed returns back as a rich man to see his mother. Javed falls in love with Nazparvar (Munawar Sultana). Javed's mother approaches Nazparvar's father to get them married, but at the same time, her sister convinced Nazparvar's father that Sajjad would be a better choice for his daughter.
