Finally! Google bids goodbye to Orkut on 30 Sep

Orkut, Google’s first social networking site which was launched ten years ago is going to shut down on September 30th. Google killed Orkut to focus on YouTube, Blogger and Google+, where community growth “has outpaced Orkut’s growth,” wrote engineering director Paolo Golgher.
