STORY: Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham continues to reinvent herself as she is appointed UNAIDS International Goodwill Ambassador.
Beckham, who now runs a successful fashion brand, expressed her commitment to the fight again HIV/AIDS during a meeting with Michel Sidibé, the Executive Director of the Joint United Nations Program on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), at the U.N. on Thursday (September 25).
"This is the beginning of an incredible journey for me. I'm not going to sit here and pretend to know everything right now, I don't, I'm leaning. I have people mentoring me, I'm going back to South Africa in a few weeks and then further afield next year. And I want to do whatever I can do, you know? I would do anything for my children. And I think every woman out there has the right to health and every woman has the right to give her children a healthy future," Beckham said.
