Forty years after it was first staged at the Royal Opera House in London, the late Sir Kenneth MacMillan's modern classic ballet 'Manon' returns to the stage.
The production is seen a signature work for the Royal Ballet Company and tells the story of a young girl who chooses her obsession with luxury over love with tragic consequences.
Despite the fact that MacMillan died in 1992, the young dancers are being helped by the original performers of the ballet to ensure that what audiences see will be as close as possible to the original.
MacMillan's widow, Deborah, is also overseeing the production.
