Sau Sha Stomp - Hot Antic Jazz Band 2004
In 2004 cornettist Michel Bastide, banjoist Jean Pierre Dubois and tubaist Christian Lefevre celebrated the 25th anniversary of their Hot Antic Jazz Band. In this concert in Nimes, France they invited their first pianist Gilles Berrut and their former longtime reedman Jean Francois Bonnel to join them for this tune. Since their beginning the band has concentrated very much on the music and arrangements of famous trumpeter Jabbo Smith., who recorded Sau Sha Stomp in 1929. Another guest in this tune is Daniel Huck on alto sax. Daniel is considered one of the best jazz players from France and made his debut with Orpheon Celesta.
