Photography Tutorial: When and How to use Fill In Flash Using a Flashgun and Diffuser

Sometimes the light source for your photographic subject can be coming from the wrong direction - from behind or to either side of the subject - causing strong shadows and high contrasting areas, making it very difficult to get an even exposure across all of the subject - This is where fill-flash comes in.
In this tutorial Geoff explains how to use fill-in flash, using a flashgun and light diffuser, to soften shadows and create evenly distributed light onto the subject - giving the result of a perfectly lit subject.
