The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain telephoned the administrator of Jamia Binoria SITE Mufti Muhammad Naeem and offered condolences on the martyrdom of his son-in-law Maulana Masood Baig.
Expressing his grief and sorrow, Mr Hussain told Mufti Naeem that the relationship of a son-in-law is very delicate and sensitive. “Your daughter has been deprived of husband and her misery and the pain being felt by you on the loss of her husband cannot be described in words. Our thoughts are with your and other members of the family in this hour of grief.”
Mr Hussain also extended sympathies to the teachers and students of Jamia Binoria and said that people in a madrassa are like a family and I share their grief.
Mr Hussain said, “Allah has revealed in the Holy Quran that there is no compulsion in the religion. You, being a scholar of the religion, know it very well that factionalism and sectarianism has done great harm to Islam. Enemies of Islam have not caused so much damage to Islam as has been done by Muslims themselves.”
Mr Hussain prayed Allah to show us the right path and give us strength to pursue this straight path. “If we cannot save anyone’s life at least we should not cause injury to anyone from our hands.”
Mr Hussain prayed Allah to give the status of martyr to Maulana Masood Baig and descend his curse on the killers. He also prayed Allah to eliminate the scourge of terrorism and lawlessness from Pakistan.
Mufti Naeem thanked Mr Hussain and said that peace could be restored in Pakistan if the leaders of the country could follow the examples given by Mr Hussain.
Mufti Naeem prayed Allah to give health to Mr Hussain and end his difficulties.
