ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)
STORY: Veteran fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg presented a playful, breezy Spring 2015 collection at an off-site venue of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week (MBFW) in New York on Sunday (September 07).
In a statement she explained that her inspiration was the Cote d'Azur of the glamorous 1950's, when its famous residents included Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso and Brigitte Bardot.
"She dances towards the sea with a nostalgic joie de vivre," von Furstenberg wrote about her muse.
Fittingly, her collection was filled with flirty chiffon skirts, leg baring shift dresses and bikini bra tops paired with side wrap skirts.
A knee-length skirt in large black and white stripe pattern was worn with a bare riff top giving the look a sexy twist.
Splashes of green, blue and yellow in floral prints collaged to evoke the masters were found throughout the collection shown off by veteran models such as Candice Swanepoel and Naomi Campbel
