MQM chief says he will finish land-mafia in 15 days from Karachi, clean up Pakistan in 6 months

KARACHI: (Dunya News, Web Desk) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain said that he will finish land-mafia in Karachi within 15 days. “Let me come to Pakistan for 15 days. I will finish the land-mafia in Karachi. And if you allow me to come to Pakistan for 6 months, I will clean up Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhawa and Baluchistan”, said MQM chief.
“Karachi Tanzeemi Committee (KTC) will be disintegrated by next Thursday”, Altaf told. He said that the KTC will be reformed. He said that good people will be taken into Rabita Committee while others will be asked to work in the sectors.
Speaking to the workers in Karachi today (Thursday), Altaf Hussain said that General Asif Nawaz Janjua said in 1992 that there were 72 big names in the list. “Some of the big landlords’ names were also there in the list including former President Asif Ali Zardari. But I said even then that the operation was only being carried out against MQM. Now DG Rangers Major General Rizwan also says the same and I say it even now that the operation is only against MQM”, said MQM chief. “MQM workers were murdered in Karachi Operation. People were called as Indian and Raw agents. Had I decided to fight them then, I could have made their lives living hells. But I am a man of peace”, he added.
Altaf Hussain said that he was not afraid of what might happen to him in England. “I have been to jails and prisons before for the nation”, said Altaf. He said that most of the missing workers have been murdered.
Criticizing the sit-ins in Islamabad, Altaf said, “Army and government are quiet while Pakistan faced loss of 1000 billion rupees due to sit-ins”. He said that the Army and civilian government should think seriously about this matter.
MQM chief asked both Sunnis and Shias to stop killing each other. He said that he will finish Taliban and all Shia-Sunni militants at once. He said that he used to wander on motor-cycle in the streets and roads of Karachi. “I’m a patriot; want to see Pakistan’s prosperity”, said Altaf.
