Sajid Khan’s Humshakals is about the madness that happens when the paths of a few of these ‘Humshakals’ happen to cross in London ! With close to 6 million hits on YouTube the theatrical trailer of Humshakals shows that Sajid Khan is master of comedy and this film is heavily anticipated by audiences. Set in London, the film has something audiences have never witnessed anywhere in the world â€" all the three leads in a triple role! The plot of the film revolves around three Ashoks (Saif Ali Khan), three Kumars (Riteish Deshmukh) and three Mamajis (Ram Kapoor). The first pairing has Saif playing a billionaire industrialist with a passion for stand up comedy while Riteish plays his brother-like friend. The second pairing has both Saif and Riteish playing mentally challenged adults who behave like kids while the third pairing has both of them enacting roles with slight effeminate touch. Ram Kapoor completes the madness with three different characters. Bipasha, Tamannah and Esha provide sizzle and oomph on the celluloid and romance to the plot. “This was my most difficult film to write and direct,” says Sajid, “because each character has to not only be funny but also to have a different style and level of humor. Even though they cross paths and confuse each other, I had to ensure that audiences are never confused. It was very complex to make the film simple for audiences!” “Humshakals is a welcome return for Sajid to his blockbuster zone of glossy, family comedy,” says Fox Star CEO Vijay Singh. “Shot entirely in the UK and Mauritius, the film has a scale and gloss which is breathtaking. To add to it, the music by Himesh Reshammiya is sure to be on charts and caller-tunes across the nation.” Producer Vashu Bhagnani, who has produced half a dozen blockbuster comedies, says: “Bringing together such a massive cast has been quite a challenge, but over the course of the film they have all become like family.
