Bieber busted in Canada, Brown pleads guilty in D.C.

More trouble for Justin Bieber. The pop star was charged with assault and dangerous driving over the weekend after an incident near the small Canadian town where he grew up, one of his lawyers said in a statement on Tuesday (September 2).

The charges came after two drivers got into a "physical altercation" on Friday, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation reported, citing police. The CBC said a minivan and an all-terrain vehicle had collided in Perth East township, just outside the town of Stratford, Ontario.

Grammy-winning R&B singer Chris Brown pleaded guilty in a Washington court on Tuesday (September 2) to a misdemeanor assault charge stemming from a scuffle with a fan last year.

Brown, 25, was sentenced to time served in jail, or two days, and was ordered to pay 150 dollars (USD) in court costs. The charges stemmed from an October 2013 sidewalk altercation in which a fan tried to jump into a photo with the singer.
