Dunya News - PM presides over meeting, condemns attack on state institutions

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif presided over a high-level meeting today (Sunday) in Islamabad in which Police was appreciated for safeguarding the state institutions. The attacks on state institutions were condemned during the meeting.
Prime Minister said that that no attack on constitution, law and parliament’s supremacy will be tolerated. However, PM ordered the security agencies to safeguard the state institutions without shedding any blood. PM Nawaz also condemned the police brutality on media in strong words. He said that attack on media will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Ordering assistance for the injured journalists, PM directed to develop a mechanism for compensating the media for the loss of their technical instruments.
During the meeting, it was discussed that the government followed the path of talks and negotiations to deal with the political crisis but Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) kept breaching the commitments.
Attack on state institutions were condemned during the meeting by the participants.
