Final day for talks ahead of Germanwings pilot strike

Pilots at Lufthansa’s budget carrier, Germanwings, are set to go on strike on Friday if an agreement regarding an early retirement scheme is not reached.

Negotiations between the airline and union representatives are set to continue on Thursday.

If talks fail the pilots plan to down tools for six hours. Around 700 of the 9,000 pilots employed by Lufthansa work for Germanwings.
