Union railway minister, Sadananda Gowda's son, Karthik Gowda has been booked for raping and cheating a model turned actor. In a complaint filed with the police right after Karthik's public engagement on Wednesday (Aug 27), the victim has alleged that Karthik had secretly married her in June this year (2014). Minister Sadananda Gowda has rubbished the allegations, calling it a conspiracy. Meanwhile, protests have erupted in Bangalore over the incident and the state women commission has taken cognisance of the case and is expected to take suo moto action against Karthik Gowda.
