Actors Edward Norton and Emma Stone are among the stars arriving at the Lido Island for the Venice Film Festival, ahead of the opening film premiere of Birdman.

STORY: A-list stars disembarked at Venice's Lido on Wednesday (August 27) ahead of the much-anticipated world premiere of "Birdman" by Mexican director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, which opens the 71st Venice Film Festival.
The actresses of the movie, Emma Stone, Andrea Riseborough and Amy Ryan arrived in one boat, followed by lead actor Michael Keaton, his co-star Edward Norton and their director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu shortly after.
After signing autographs, Inarritu said he was very happy with the reaction so far to the movie, adding he was "happy" and "privileged" to be able to premiere it at Venice, while Keaton appeared content after being informed of initially positive reviews of the film.
