Massive controversy has sparked off over the usage of the word "negros" in the official documents by the state government to refer to the African nationals. The written reply tabled on the floor of the House by Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar referred to an African national who was arrested at Calangute village on May 8, this year, as an "unknown African negro".
