Josh Brolin belongs in Sin City. The actor savors Frank Miller’s lyrical, hard-boiled dialogue as if he’d been speaking that way from the cradle and will be taking that language to the grave.

Brolin takes over for Clive Owen to play Dwight in the title story of the Sin City sequel, A Dame To Kill For. He goes head-to-head with Eva Green’s man-dominating femme fatale Ava Lord. Together, they us back to the sultry repertoire between Fred MacMurray and Barbara Stanwyck in the film noir classic Double Indemnity, where “murdercould sometimessmell like honeysuckle”.

Radheyan Simonpillai sat down with Brolin to discuss the beauty of Frank Miller’s work, how difficult it was to get naked with Casino Royale’s Eva Green and what we can expect from Brolin when he wields the Infinity Gauntlet to play Thanos in The Avengers franchise.
