Barcelona, Aug 12 (EFE).- FC Barcelona player Andrés Iniesta said Monday afternoon that leaving the Spanish national team was not among his plans. Unlike teammate Xavi Hernandez, Iniesta said he would fight to "keep being (an) important" player for Barça so that La Roja coach Vicente del Bosque called him for the national team's next competition.
"At the end of the day, football and sports are made of good times and disapointment. And sometimes dissapointment tends to change everything."
Iniesta added that even if Brazil's World Cup was a great disapointment, he believed that La Roja had a good project based on "continuity" and strengthened by the "wise idea" of keeping Vicente del Bosque as the national team coach.
