Dunya News - Police prepares new security plan for long marches in twin cities

In view of the ‘Azadi March’ by Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and ‘Revolution March’ by Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) on 14th of August, police has also readied a new security plan for the twin cities.
Interior Ministry has summoned three thousand soldiers of Frontier Corps in Islamabad. 1000 police officers from Azad Kashmir and 5000 police officers from Punjab will also be deployed in Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
There are reports that active workers of PAT and PTI will be arrested prior to the long march. There are also reports regarding Chairman PTI Imran Khan’s detention in Bani Gala Palace, Islamabad. Police has been directed to employ all possible means to prevent the marches from entering Islamabad.
