Ebola patient's husband has "real reason to be hopeful"

As curious onlookers snapped photos, an emergency vehicle slowly rolled onto the grounds of Atlanta's Emory University Hospital.

After days of traveling from Liberia, an Ebola-stricken Nancy Writebol was wheeled out on a stretcher.

Writebol now joins Doctor Kent Brantly, who arrived on Saturday, to be treated for the deadly disease.

The two had been working at a Monrovia treatment center run by several aid groups. Bruce Johnson represents one of those groups.

"Samaritan's Purse and SIM are so grateful for both of them here receiving the care that they're receiving right now."

Ebola is a virus with no proven cure. It has killed nearly 900 people in west Africa and the death toll is rising.

Until recently, hope had been fading for the two Americans.

Johnson says when he spoke recently to Nancy's husband David, the future looked grim.
