Where we thought we would receive resistance, we have been welcomed and encouraged. We know this project means something more than just another documentary film. The film itself will open up many doorways that have been slammed shut for many years. Jesus Meets the Gay Man is not only a film about homosexuality and "What Jesus would say to a gay man", it is about forgiveness, renewal and reconciliation of the common man; all of us, gay and straight alike are continually searching for lasting peace, which is what Jesus would want. Is that peace only for the Christian straight person? Jesus Meets the Gay Man will burst open the closest and clean out the dust from underneath our carpets. There are many types of closets that we all hide in, places where we don't want others to look.
We believe that D.D.P. studios Inc. and its team is ready to pursue this production. The time is right to produce this film because of the current issues brought up in the media throughout the world, proving that more healing is needed on this topic.
When a President hosting the Winter Olympics has threatened to imprison anyone openly expressing their Homosexualiy, it's a clear sign, that much discussion on this subject is still needed.
Man is still pointing fingers and casting stones!!! But who is man to judge.
So we ask you: What would Jesus say to a gay man?
Is this film controversial? Some would say yes, but the real controversy would be to leave this issue undebated and unsaid.
DDP studios Inc are not rebels without a cause. We passionately stand behind what we believe in. Should we shudder away in fear when the truth is yet to be discovered?
We know that Jesus Meets the Gay Man will force us to search our hearts to find the truth and Jesus said, "the truth shall set you free..."
