Nandoona comes from Dawari in North Waziristan. She spent three days, and two nights walking after the Pakistan Army started its aerial bombardments. When she started out–without her husband who stayed behind–she had six children. By the time she arrived in Bannu, she only had four children left. She lost one boy, and one girl, on her way. Two days later, she heard that her husband might be dead.
