Britain's famously temperamental weather settled into a hot spell on Friday.
This was London by night.
But by day, people were sprawled under the sun, as temperatures reached up to 32 degrees Celsius -- or 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
For these Londoners -- who were taking a break from the office -- the heat was a bit hard to handle.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) OFFICE WORKER RICHARD MORRISON SAYING:
"When you've been out here for a while and you're starting to sweat a little bit, it's nice to go back into the air con and cool out for five minutes. But no, definitely, I definitely wouldn't want to miss it."
