Around one hundred thousand fans of science fiction and fantasy descend on Earls Court for the annual London Movie and Comic Con.

Jill Ubdegrove, the marketing manager for the convention, says geek-type events are becoming more common.

SOUNDBITE: Jill Ubdegrove, marketing manager of Showmasters, saying (English):

"It's really crossing into mainstream culture as well as ... it's no longer this like everyone goes to get their signings and photos, it's become much bigger than that. We've got the cosplayers, we've got the gamers, we've got people who are interested in TV and film and want to meet their heroes. So many people come here for so many different reasons that it's just trying to cater for that now."

Fans had the chance to meet 'Star Wars' actress Carrie Fisher and a handful of 'Game of Thrones' cast members.

But the big star of the event was undoubtedly Stan Lee, the former president and chairman of Marvel Comics who always has a cameo in every Marve
