Residents caught in the crossfire in the eastern Ukrainian city of Slaviansk says there's nowhere to go -- only a bloodied pet to show the extent of their suffering.

"They blew our house. Look at the dog. All our possessions are gone."

Since the 10-day government ceasefire ran out, bloodshed has been on the rise here.

"How can we live? We have nowhere to run. We would like to, but there is nowhere to go, and we don't have money for that."

Residents describe what they saw.
