To mark their 30th anniversary, Virgin Atlantic's cabin crew were given a make-over courtesy of British designer Vivienne Westwood.
According to the press release, the designs were inspired by Westwood's "enduring interest in 40s French couture cutting". At the launch in Shoreditch in London, Westwood explained more.

"I don't know. I just thought that Virgin is sort of the most airborne and the most... whatever, something. I just thought it suited the idea of sort of time travel somehow a bit."
Chairman of the Virgin Group Richard Branson revealed that there was a serious reason behind the re-design.
