SCRIPT
The first electronic joint went on sale at 'Shisha Bong Headshop' in Hannover on Tuesday. The 'e-joint' is essentially an electronic cigarette that allows one to draw in flavoured smoke when puffed.
The Dutch manufacturer E-Njoint BV developed the product, which is shaped like a joint and has a marijuana leaf on it that glows when the e-smoker takes a puff. Instead of THC, the component that causes a high when smoking marihuana, it contains propylene glycol, vegetable glycerin, and biological flavor and is refillable. Customers can choose between six fruity flavors, with the most popular being green apple, watermelon and red cherry.
According to the manufacturer, 10,000 e-joints are produced every day and distributed throughout Europe.
