SCRIPT

Protesters threw Molotov cocktails, stones, bottles and fireworks during violent clashes with the police in Istanbul's Okmeydanı neighborhood on Sunday night.

During the clashes an armoured police vehicle was burned when the protesters threw a Molotov cocktail onto it.

Confrontations began when police were called in to stop an unscheduled anti-government protest, which was banned by the local authorities.
