ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)

Fourteen carriages of a Russian freight train derailed in eastern Ukraine on Sunday (June 22) after an explosion on the rail track between the stations of Ilovaysk and Kuteinikovo in restive Donetsk region, Russian Railways said in a press release. No casualties have been reported.

Donetsk Rail which operates the track in the region said on Monday (June 23) that at least 300 meters of the track have been damaged as a result of the explosion and derailment.

The incident is still being investigated, but the track repair team working on the site said the blast was aimed at the center of the train.

Donetsk and neighboring Luhansk regions, which have declared themselves "people's republics", have been the scene of fierce fighting between pro-Russian separatists and the Kiev authorities.
