Balochistan’s 65% education budget was wasted in the current fiscal year. The fiscal year 2013-14 is about to end and yet only 35% of the announced 26 billion rupees was utilized throughout the whole year. The target was to build at least 300 new schools but the foundation stones of only 50 schools were laid during this period and the construction of those 50 schools was not copmpleted. Out of 300 primary schools, only 7 were given the status of Middle Schools. The promise to establish laboratories and libraries in 12,000 schools was also not fulfilled.
