Gilani was granted bail in all cases against the bail bond worth Rs 1.2 million.

Talking to media after the court appearance, Yousaf Raza Gilani said PPP had always respected the courts.

A large number of PPP workers were already outside the court raising slogans before Gilani’s arrival. The workers also blocked Shahrah-e-Liaquat.

On the previous date of hearing, none of the accused including Gilani could appear before the court after which the court issued non-bailable warrants.

Gilani said that leadership of PPP had always faced such cases as earlier Benazir Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardari also faced trials.

Gilan’s attorney Farooq H Naek said FIA has instituted false cases against the ex-PM.
