Angel Alonso :
Graduated from Madrid Technical School of Architecture –ETSAM- in 1995.
He’s Professor of Architectural Projects at Madrid European School –UEM- from 2002, Lecturer in the Architectural Projects Departament of the ETSAM since 2013 and 2013 Visiting Professor at the Washington University in St. Louis as well.
Victoria Acebo and Ángel Alonso are the principals of aceboXalonso studio, founded in Madrid at 1996. Since 2013 they are the Editors of the Arquitectura, Madrid Architects Association Magazine.
The quality of their work has been recognized through the Young Architect’s Prize of 9th Spanish Biennal in 2007, the Single House Prize of Architectural Institute of Castilla y Leon in 2000, the Best Light Facade Prize of VETECO-ASFAVE in 2008 and has been, three times, runner up at Mies van der Rohe European Award, years 2000 and 2008.
aceboXalonso studio has achieved more than 20 awards on international and national competitions, highlighting the 1st. prizes at Cuña Verde Park at Palma de Mallorca, Arts Center at Coruña and Fair Complex at Palma de Mallorca too.
Many exhibitions have displayed their projects: Tokyo Desing Week 2007, Urban Planning Exhibition Center of Shanghay 2008, On Site: new architecture in Spain at MoMA of New York 2006, 8st and 10st Venezia Architectural Biennal, Young Spanish Architects: A Windows to the Unknown at diferents places of USA and Europe, L’Atalante at Sao Miguel dos Açores –Portugal-, and many others on a national level.
