The Progress 53 cargo craft undocked from the International Space Station carrying trash and discarded gear and will later burn above the Pacific Ocean.

The resupply craft undocked from the aft end of the International Space Station's (ISS) Zvezda service module on Monday (June 09) at 8:29 am CST (1339 GMT) and will reenter the earth's atmosphere and burn a few hours later.

The Russian space freighter, which launched from Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, docked at ISS on November 29th, delivering almost three tons of food, fuel, supplies and holiday gifts for the Expedition 38 crew.

Expedition 40 crew undocked the cargo craft, which was about 228 miles (365 km) above Mongolia.
