Star Wars VII News: Who's Set To Direct Boba Fett And Han Solo Spinoffs?

Hey guys, as you already know, the Star Wars franchise is kicking back in to gear with J.J. Abrams busy filming Episode VII while a new animated series called Star Wars Rebels is being prepped for a fall release. Last week we also learned that Godzilla director Gareth Edwards was hired to direct a spin-off film and now a second director has been hired to helm a second spin-off film.

Josh Trank, best known to audiences for his lo-fi supernatural film Chronicle will next film a Fantastic Four adaptation before getting started on his second Star Wars movie. That's right, we said second -- because part of what got Trank noticed in Hollywood was his first short film, the Star Wars-themed Stabbing at Leia's. As always, Lucasfilm, Disney and Bad Robot are keeping as many details as possible under lock and key, though several high-level sources have suggested that these first two spin-off films will be about Han Solo and Boba Fett.

We don't know which director is directing which movie, but we do know that we'd love to see either of these characters get their own movie.
