Funeral prayer of two military officers, martyred in a suicide attack near Tarnol on Wednesday, has been offered at Chaklala Garrison.
Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, Defence Mnister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, General Rashad Mehmood Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, large number of military personnel from three services and people from all walks of life attended the Namaze Janaza of shaheeds.
Later, bodies of Shaheed Colonel Muhammad Zahir and Colonel Arshad Hussain were sent to their ancestral towns where they will be buried with full military honour.
Two military officers and three civilians embraced martyrdom when a suicide bomber hit their twin cabin vehicle in Rawalpindi on Wednesday.
The incident took place near railway crossing on Fateh Jang Road.
According to witnesses, the suicide bomber disguised himself as a beggar hit the military vehicle when it passed through the railway crossing.
