German pop synth band Claire hail from Munich in Germany and are now hoping for success beyond their borders. Ahead of their new album, they've just released the single "Broken Promise Land'.

SOUNDBITE Claire member Florian Kiermaier, saying (English):

"'Broken Promise Land' was one of the most difficult songs to finish because we didn't manage to find a good hook for it, so we almost threw it away and then had new try and changed it completely and so it turned out to be quite good."

The band got together when they did a favour for a friend but they enjoyed the experience so much they stayed together.

"The message from this song is maybe the main message in our album so it's about, yeah, to focus on what you want to do and just do it."
