Maya Angelou has died. The author and poet passed away at her home in North Carolina. Angelou provided commentary on race, gender and living life to its fullest. She won three Grammys for her spoken-word albums and her "I Know Why the Cage Bird Sings," a coming-of-age story in the American South, is considered an American classic. She was 86.

Two members of One Direction are in the spotlight after The Daily Mail published footage of a video they claim shows the singers smoking an illegal substance. The video reportedly shows Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik riding in a car in Peru last April, when Tomlinson is overheard referencing a "joint" and "Mary Jane" - common slang for marijuana. So far, there's been no comment on the video from the band or the singers.

Tom Cruise got started on a very busy day in London on Wednesday (May 28). The actor premiered his new film, "Edge of Tomorrow" at 6:45 a.m. - spending nearly two hours signing autographs and talking to the media.
