John Galliano is the new creative director for Russian perfume and cosmetics retailer L'Etoile.
The company first made the announcement on its website, where it posted the statement "John is Back!".
The hype was followed up with a lavish party in Moscow where in true Galliano style, the British designer walked on stage with a company executive - seen only in silhouette amid blaring spotlights.
Galliano was fired by Dior in 2011 after he was caught on camera making anti-Semitic remarks in a Paris café - remarks for which a French court handed the designer a 6,000 euro ($8,000) suspended fine.
