Residents are shaken and a neighborhood is battered after overnight fighting between pro-Russian rebels and Ukrainian forces.
Now homes stand in ruins as local residents are picking up the pieces.
This is what happened to one woman's home. Floors covered in debris -- a gaping hole in the roof. She wishes the warring sides just took aim at each other.
(SOUNDBITE) (Russian) SVETA, LOCAL RESIDENT, SAYING:
"They came here, and they shot twice. Then the other side shot back. But why are they aiming at civilians? Couldn't they go to some place else and shoot at each other there? Why do they come here?"
She is not alone. Others in the neighborhood survey the damage.
