Himmesh Reshammiya's much anticipated film 'The Xpose' has finally made it to the screens on the 16th of May, 2014! Co-starring singing sensation Yo Yo Honey Singh and actress Sonali Raut, while this musical thriller had already majored the news owing to its repetitive scan under plagiarism, there were also some positives that further tossed up around its fun Yo Yo element! So compiling all your dilemmas around, let's find out what has director Anant Mahadevan actually exposed through this treat.
Firstly, a quick brush up through the film's plot. The Xpose' is a story set in the late 60's and narrates a tale of rivalry between two upcoming actresses Chandni and Zara. The rivalry keeps growing with every passing day until the mysterious death of Zara. While the police officials spot their easy suspect on Chandni Ex-cop-turned actor Ravi Kumar (Himesh Reshammiya) too gets accused through this unexpected death. So what happens next through this suspicious blame game, is what the entire film is all about.
Now as per the plot, the story is quite engaging and will definitely leave you in bits with massive comedy! In fact, despite the fact that the music was not quite approved by the masses before the film's release, the makers have managed to overlook that qualm by further offering a bonus narration with some brilliant stuff for fun! But what majorly lacks through this musical thriller is the needed thrill! Sadly, the suspense gets too predictable... Never mind...Performance wise, while Himmesh has put his best glamour foot forward with some shimmery outputs, Yo Yo further turns some heads around with his above average debut! Meanwhile, others like Sonali Raut and Zoya Afroz were pretty as actresses whereas Irrfan Khan justified his elegance on his minimal play.
To sum it up, The Xpose definitely doesn't come as one of those blockbusters of the season but for the ones who were vying to laugh their hearts out and engage in some fun stuff can surely pick this up for this weekend....So happy weekend folks...
