Thousands of anti-government protesters marched through the streets of Bangkok on Monday as part of their “final push” to install an unelected prime minister.
Protest leader Suthep Thaugsuban marched through the streets surrounded by his supporters on their way to Government House, the prime minister’s office compound.
Suthep, who has led the movement for six months, ended an occupation of the city’s main park to set up an office at the compound, which has been vacant for months due to violent clashes between protesters and police nearby.
