A Taiwanese mom took her daughters to an Eslite bookstore in Taipei to buy a cookbook last September. She left her 9-year-old daughter in the children's book section, but when the mother returned, she found a man, identified only by the surname Chang, sitting near her daughter with his hand moving around in his pants!

She chastised the man and he soon ran off. The mom then asked the bookstore to provide surveillance footage and called the police. Not satisfied, she went further, posting the whole story on Facebook and warning parents of a slightly chubby guy, around 165cm (5 feet 5 inches) tall, with a hand in his pants.

A public prosecutor found the man and asked him to explain himself. The man claimed that he was scratching between legs because of chronic crotch-rot, and that he couldn't help but reach his hands into his pants to relieve the itching. He even provided medical record and pictures as proof of his condition.

The prosecutor examined the surveillance footage and his medical record and found that he didn't expose his genitals but did suffer from crotch-rot. The case was then dismissed.
