Pop, points and politics: who will take the Eurovision prize?

Eurovision supporters, gathered in the 2014 host city of Copenhagen, have been predicting how the countries will vote in Saturday evening’s grand final.
“I think Ukraine will get quite a bit of support due to obviously the conflict that is happening at the moment, but personally I love their track, I think they’ve got a really good track. I think they will get some extra support from Europe and I’m not sure about Russia’s song, how it will go down. We’ll see,” said British Eurovision fan Edward Watson.
Keith Grant, who traveled from Dublin for Eurovision, said: “I think it’s going to be a tough one this year. I personally want Sweden to win, but I think they’re up their with Hungary, Austria, the UK, Sweden, they all have a really good chance, and Denmark of course has a really good song, this year. So it’s anyone’s game. I think the voting will be really good this year.”
Loic Pherivong from France said he was supporting drag artist Conchita Wurst of Austria. “She is so well supported by all the fans, all the public, all the crowd. I went to the second semi-final – it was so amazing. Everybody was supporting her. It was very, very crazy.”
Along with Swedish entry Sanna Nielsen, and the Common Linnets of the Netherlands, Wurst is among this year’s Eurovision favourites.
